The Kyokuto Maru was the last Japanese oil tanker seen leaving Carbon Harbor loaded with oil many months after FDR had imposed an embargo on US oil shipments to Japan.

It was also the flagship oiler for the Japanese, providing fuel for the attack on Pearl Harbor. No kidding.
